Yes the Silmarillion read like a history book, but God damn it was a whole hell of alot more interesting then the history I read in school. I am actually at work re-reading it for about the 8th time right now.

As far as this new book is concerned…I can dig it..yes, yes IIIII CAAAAAN DIG ITTTTT. And I will be picking it up as a birthday present to myself this weekend.

I’ve read his works numerous times. The Silmarillion I just couldn’t make it further than a quarter of the way through. I think it was worse than the New Testament. I’m glad that his son took his unreleased works, compiled them, and transitioned it all together. Gotta pick this one up now!
